Westlink M7 is a 40km toll road in Sydney connecting the M5 at Prestons, the Hills M2 at Baulkham Hills and the M4 at Eastern Creek.

It was Sydney's first distance-based toll road.

  • 40 km of dual carriageway freeway with two lanes in each direction

  • 18 grade-separated interchanges, including Australia’s first complete freeway-to-freeway interchange

  • 146 bridges and 56 km of noise walls

  • a high-quality off-road cycleway that stretches the length of the route

  • the motorway is electronically tolled

PROJECT BENEFITS

  • safer and more efficient for both passenger vehicles and freight

  • travel time reliability and travel time savings by eliminating up to 56 sets of traffic lights compared to the alternative route
