CAMBERWELL LIBRARY & OFFICE

Retained and reinvigorated the unused Camberwell Music Hall (1967) and historic Civic Centre (1890's) into a modern multi-function community space surpassing all stakeholders’ expectations.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

  • major and detailed demolition to internal structures of heritage buildings

  • construction of new internal elements including;

  • 1,800 sqm dedicated to the new Camberwell Library

  • ground floor multi function areas for support teams and the public 

  • 6,500 sqm of council offices over levels one and two above all connected by a glazed three level void topped by a clerestory
